The puddles at the side of the road were frozen over and the icy wind seemed to find a little space between my scarf and my rain suit to tease me with a cold jet of air as I motored along. God, it was cold. We caught up with Lynn who had her bike parked into the wind in a gravel parking bay 'Estacionamiento', so it wouldn't blow over. We pulled in and she told us Lou had gone on to the town ahead to see if they had fuel, while she waited on the highway. We all chatted while waiting for Lou to return and took some photos of a little monument to Gaucho Gill, which we see all over Argentina. They are always red, as apparently, that was the colour of this 'Robin Hood' type highway man's jacket. People leave all sorts of stuff in and around these monuments and sometimes they grow quite large in area. There is also another type of monument around which is of a lady, usually with lots and lots of bottles of water around the monument. Apparently this lady died in a drought. Lynn says there is quite a lot of information about these two people on the internet, which I will research when I'm not so busy. When Lou returned, he said there was no ...
